Treat Avenue Bicycle Boulevard || Built 2022

This 6 mile bicycle boulevard is a heavily-used corridor for cyclists in Tucson, connecting people to 5 parks, 3 greenways, 6 schools, and the Rillito River Path. Alex designed the landscape for the traffic circles, a design which has been used across multiple bike boulevard projects in Tucson. The traffic circles are recessed to allow for the collection of stormwater. As with many public works projects in the right-of-way, careful attention was paid to the location and continued access of utilities among these new landscaped spaces.
